Aldersgate is focused on providing our residents with the retirement lifestyle they’ve earned. In fact the opportunities for fulfillment are endless. Activities range from social and creative to intellectual and spiritual.

Aldersgate residents enjoy a host of celebratory and special events on our campus that are weekly, monthly and annual. From shopping to cultural events, we regularly venture out to enjoy all that Charlotte and the Carolinas have to offer. Music, art, lectures, theatre, sporting events – if there’s an interest, there is an excursion in the works!

Aldersgate is a social, convivial community with interesting and active residents that continue to shape the programming we offer. In fact, several calendar events are resident led. Just a few of our many offerings include:

Creative

Aldersgate is a place to enjoy a favorite hobby or try something entirely new. Many of our residents use their passion for creativity to make more than an object of art, but also make a difference in the community by donating their works. Activities include:

Woodworking
Ceramics and Pottery
Basket Weaving
Knitting and Needlework Groups

Intellectual

Our residents are cultured and curious. Aldersgate offers educational opportunities, clubs, excursions and the company of like-minded residents. A sampling of calendar events includes:

Spiritual

While Aldersgate began as a Methodist home, our spiritual programming reflects a diversity of faiths. Local Catholic, Episcopal and Methodist churches come for a well-attended monthly luncheon to engage with residents. Other spiritual opportunities include:
