When you envisioned your retirement years, did the dreams include having time to tend a garden or play a round of golf whenever you liked?  Walking after breakfast through blooming gardens and lingering to watch darting minnows in a lake?

At Aldersgate, we believe that your retirement years are priceless years, when one's daily obligations finally begin to subside and personal aspirations take the lead.

We think you should be open to the world around you and involved in the things that interest you, and that being secure and comfortable in a welcoming environment helps you follow your own star.

At Aldersgate, we believe in the gentle art of living well.

STATEMENT OF MISSION

The Mission of Aldersgate is

to provide excellent continuing care

services for older adults.

Statement of Vision

To fulfill this mission, Aldersgate will:

Minister to the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of its residents in a comfortable, secure setting.

We shall strive to provide a setting for congregate living which is a community having values arising from our shared faith experience and from our historic position as an institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Provide attractive services of the highest quality that cater to the lifestyles of the residents.

We intend to provide a lifestyle characterized by comfort and security, a lifestyle which emphasizes the social aspects of existence as well as its physical ones, and a lifestyle that mirrors that enjoyed by a majority of our members before becoming residents with us.

Operate in a fiscally sound manner while developing resources to serve those who need financial assistance to be served by Aldersgate.

We believe that our mission anticipates and requires good stewardship of what we have received.  We also believe that a vital part of our mission is to develop the resources to permit us to help those who could not otherwise receive services
from us.

Reach out to the community around it to bring its knowledge, experience and commitment to those who have need of it where they are.

We want to reach out to those older adults who, for whatever reason, do not wish to be part of our residential community, but who still can benefit from our experience and knowledge.  If we can enable them to continue an independent lifestyle in their chosen place, we will have added
measurably to their joy of living, and we will have expanded our community.

Service and hospitality are hallmarks of Aldersgate.
